Before you choose

Do some research to make sure the artist you choose is capable of doing the style of tattoo you want. Have in mind that all tattoo shops would really like to sell you a tattoo. We suggest that you go into the studio if possible, before your tattoo to see if the artist and studio are the right vibe for you. (A good tattoo artist is worth the extra travel )

So choose carefully.

How old do I need to be to get tattooed?

In Massachusetts, you must be 18 years old with valid photo ID- state issued drivers license or identification card. No ID, no tattoo.

Does it hurt?

Yes, but it is bearable. There are a number of factors that determine what your experience will be like: location on the body and state of mind are two big ones. Some people find the experience quite uncomfortable, while others find it rather pleasurable. For most people it is somewhere in the middle and find the experience to be mildly annoying. For many the initial outline is the most difficult part and after about 5 or 10 minutes it becomes easier. Eating a good meal beforehand, getting plenty of sleep the night before, and remembering to breathe, all make the whole experience easier.

Are the artists and studio licensed?

The studio and each body art practitioner are licensed with the Town of Provincetown. The requirements include documented studio experience, proof of apprenticeship, certification in First Aid, CPR, and OSHA blood borne pathogens; which includes universal precautions, waste disposal, hand washing techniques, disinfection, and sterilization methods and techniques. The studio itself is also licensed and inspected for safety in accordance with Provincetown’s Board of Health regulations.

Do you have designs to choose from?

Yes, we have a large selection of flash (pictures of designs to choose from on the wall). Books of custom designs and an endless supply of reference material. However, we pride ourselves in being a custom studio, with each tattoo being drawn specifically for the client. That is why it is important that you have a good idea as to what it is that you want, and we encourage you to bring any kind of art or reference material that will help your artist bring your idea to life. Of course, if you already have the exact image of what you want for your tattoo we can do that for you too. All styles are welcome!

Do I need an appointment?

No! We take walk-ins as well as appointments! You are welcome to call or e-mail to set aside time to assure you get your tattoo done if you are on a limited schedule. But if you are just hanging around town for the day and want to just stop in, feel free! We do walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.

I have a tattoo that I want to fix. What can you do for me?

Cover-ups and re-touches are no problem, whether you simply want to re-new an old favorite or completely cover a tattoo you no longer enjoy, we would be happy to discuss ideas with you.

ALSO, each tattoo artist tends to draw designs for the way they tattoo, so it is usually best to let the artist who is giving you the tattoo design it for you. We would be more than happy to design the one of a kind tattoo for you.

What are the prices?

Price varies on the size of the tattoo, detail of the design, the amount of time it will take. Come in to talk to someone about your idea and we can give you a better idea on the price.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a $100 cash or Paypal deposit, which goes towards the cost of your tattoo, is necessary to reserve an appointment. We cannot hold a time slot for you until we receive a deposit. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy to either reschedule or refund your deposit.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash only for payment. There are multiple ATMs in walking distance from the shop. We do not accept credit cards or personal checks.

Do you do piercings?

No.

.

We reserve the right to refuse anyone or any design. We also will not work on anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
